Janay Johnstone was due to give birth at any moment but her life tragically ended.
Janay Johnstone, 31, was a newborn photographer and expecting her second child, when she died tragically this week.
The mum was due to welcome a baby daughter at any minute, and was nine months pregnant.
But mother and baby passed away together in the unexplained incident in Auckland, which has left friends and family and the New Zealand photography community devastated.
Friends have set up a Give a Little fund-raising page to raise money for her husband, Mark and their three-year-old son Tiere.
"It is with deep regret that we mourn the passing of Janay Johnstone,'' friends wrote on the page, which has raised more than $15,000.
"A wife, a mother, a photographer; Janay was a wonderful mum to her beautiful boy and so excited to meet her wee girl due this month. She was bubbly and vivacious with a heart of gold. Janay was an incredibly talented photographer, and an absolute baby whisperer. She will be greatly missed.

Janay was excited to meet her baby girl. She wrote on Facebook recently: “Not long until we meet our little girl and see my boy turn into an amazing big brother. Exciting times ahead!”
She celebrated a joint baby shower with a friend, too.
“Looking forward to meeting our girls next month (please don’t make me wait longer),” Janay posted on Facebook.
Janay ran a newborn photography business, Tee-Jay Photography.
“My passion for newborn photography started with my son, the moment I watched my son being photographed as a newborn, I thought it would be the best job in the world!” Janay wrote.

Gossip about your kids. Fact: What we overhear is far more potent than what we are told directly. Make praise more effective by letting your child "catch" you whispering a compliment about him to Grandma, Dad, or even his teddy.
"Janay touched so many hearts with her beautiful photography, families will cherish those moments forever. Wishing love and peace for her family and friends."
