After failing to convince my 2.5 year old to use the potty we finally decided to ditch the pullups
Now I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner! I can't believe how quickly he's figured it out!
Day 0: Lots of puddles! Lots of whining! "Daddy! Diaper!" Sorry buddy but we're all done with diapers. You're going to have to go pee in the potty!
Day 1: Some puddles early on. Then a dry afternoon followed by a potty dance in the evening! "Ow! Daddy! Ow!" "Go potty, bub! You'll feel better!" "Okay...." He went potty! We cheered for him. Gave him Marshmellows for going potty! Let him flush the potty! Yay Clark!.
Day 2: No puddles all day. He asked to go potty several times. When his mama took him out to her friends house she put him in a diaper just in case. He said "No mama! No diaper! Undies!" He asked to go potty several times while at her friends house and came home with a dry diaper!
Day 3: He woke up completely dry! Asked to go potty first thing in the morning! He's now using the big toilet with a potty attachment!
Don't raise a spoiled kid. Keep this thought in mind: Every child is a treasure, but no child is the center of the universe. Teach him accordingly.
I cannot believe how quickly he's progressing! If any of you out there have a toddler in pullups and you're struggling with potty training, just ditch the pullups. Go cold turkey! It worked so well for us!
